Philosophy

“I began my career as a carpenter, and was regularly frustrated by the poor quality and lack of craftsmanship in the homes I was building. Having the opportunity to build an architectural designed house completely changed my understanding of what was possible. This inspired me to pursure further study, attending UNSW where I obtained a Bachelor and Masters of Architecture. Working as a graduate architect I instantly noticed the level of frustration that architects and clients had with the construction process. This led me to start Joshua Maule Construction.”

We believe that having a background in both architecture and construction has given us a unique perspective and ability: to understand and balance the desires of the architect, and the needs of the client, in a collaborative way. In placing an emphasis on the process, we achieve better outcomes for everyone involved.
